Excitement filled the air as our youngest learners and their families joined us for the annual SDoL PreK’s “Here I Come” event, a warm welcome before they start school. This special gathering gave students a chance to meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, and start building the connections that will carry them through a year of learning and growth.

Teachers and support staff were eager to get to know their new students, answering questions, sharing tips for a smooth first day, and offering reassurance to parents taking this big step alongside their children.

Families had the opportunity to connect with local organizations and community partners who shared valuable resources and to ensure every child is prepared for the first day, students also received school supplies, giving them the tools they need to begin their Pre-K journey with confidence and excitement.

We look forward to watching our new learners grow and shine this school year!
