Dear SDoL Families and Staff,
The forecast for this week again includes some rounds of winter precipitation that could alter our schedules. While no decisions have been made at this time, we are watching the potential for snow on Wednesday morning and ice on Thursday morning.
While we want to see what ultimately transpires, we want to remind our staff and families of our process when a two-hour delay falls on a scheduled early dismissal day.
If we were to have a delay on Wednesday, there would be no early dismissal—students would be dismissed at their regular afternoon times:
- 2:45 p.m. for middle schools
- 3 p.m. for high school
- 3:15 p.m. for elementary schools
