SDoL Food Services Recognition

At the School District of Lancaster, we know that learning starts well before the first bell rings. It begins with a nutritious meal, a friendly greeting in the cafeteria, and the dependable presence of those who care deeply about our students’ well-being.

Our Food Services team plays a vital role in shaping each school day, and recently, we had the chance to celebrate some of the individuals who make that possible. These staff members bring care, energy, and consistency to their work day in and day out. Their attention to detail and dedication to creating a positive environment make a meaningful difference in the lives of students throughout the district.

Every day, this team helps serve over 9,000 lunches and 4,500 breakfasts. They make sure every item meets federal nutrition guidelines, support our Community Eligibility Program so that all students eat free of charge, and manage the complex logistics behind preparing and distributing meals to every school in the district. Whether working behind the scenes or at the serving line, these staff members help create a safe and welcoming space where students are nourished and ready to learn.

This recognition is just one way we can say thank you. These individuals have shown what it means to lead with purpose and care in roles that often go unnoticed, but are absolutely essential.
