The School District of Lancaster is proud to share an exciting opportunity for our educators and families to celebrate the incredible work happening in our classrooms. PPL Foundation has launched the 2025 STEM Educators Award, recognizing teachers who light up their classrooms and inspire students to explore, innovate, and lead in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.
At PPL, building the utility of the future starts with investing in education today. This award shines a spotlight on teachers who bring STEM to life for students, encouraging curiosity and preparing them for the challenges of tomorrow.
Through this program, educators can receive funding to support their classrooms and professional growth:

One outstanding K–12 science teacher will be awarded $2,500 for classroom supplies and professional development.

Three teachers, one from elementary, middle, and high school, will each receive $1,500 to support their work.
This competitive grant is open to K–12 teachers in schools located within PPL’s service territory, including right here in Lancaster.
Nominations may come from colleagues, students, parents, or community members and are due September 30. Educators will then be invited to apply directly. Teachers may also self-nominate by submitting an application by October 30.
