We are proud to celebrate Beth Pinsker, a J. P. McCaskey High School alum (Class of 1989), whose new book My Mother’s Money: A Guide to Financial Caregiving weaves personal experience with practical guidance for families navigating caregiving.
Beth’s journey as a financial caregiver began at her mother’s bedside and grew into a series of columns, and eventually a book, that makes a complex and emotional process more accessible for others. Her story resonates deeply for many families and is rooted right here in Lancaster.
At the heart of the book is Beth’s mother, Ann Pinsker, a beloved McCaskey social studies teacher whose determination helped bring the International Baccalaureate program to our district. Her impact lives on through generations of students and through the Ann Pinsker Scholarship, established by Beth through the Lancaster Education Foundation to support McCaskey IB students.
This is a story about education that lasts a lifetime, caregiving done out of love and respect, and a legacy shaped by service to others.
We are proud of our McCaskey alumni who continue to make a difference, and grateful for educators like Ann Pinsker whose influence still shapes our schools today.
