January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we are recognizing the individuals who serve on the School District of Lancaster’s School Directors and help guide the district’s work on behalf of students and families.Today, we highlight Molly Henderson, who has served on the School Board since being elected in 2021.
Molly brings experience as an educator and public health official to her role on the Board. Her professional background supports a clear understanding of how student learning, health, and well-being are connected, and it informs her approach to district leadership and decision-making.
She has also been active in many community service organizations, reflecting a long-standing commitment to public service. Molly’s connection to the School District of Lancaster is personal as well as professional. Her children attended SDoL schools, giving her firsthand insight into the experiences of students and families across the district.
Molly lives in Lancaster Township with her husband and two dogs and remains engaged in the community she serves. Through her work on the Board, she helps support policies and priorities that strengthen public education and promote student success.
