The School District of Lancaster is proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our elementary and middle school students at the IU13 Math 24 Competition held on Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13, competing against students from throughout the region in a fast-paced tournament focused on mental math, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
The two-day competition featured separate tournaments for elementary and middle level students. Elementary students in grades 4 and 5 competed on Tuesday, while middle school students in grades 6-8 competed on Wednesday.

Math 24 is designed to sharpen students’ mental math, number sense, pattern recognition, and analytical thinking through a tournament-style game where students use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to create solutions that equal 24. The competition challenges students to think quickly, communicate their reasoning, and apply mathematical concepts in a fun and engaging environment.
We are incredibly proud of all of the students who represented SDoL and grateful to the educators and families who supported them throughout the competition! For more photos, visit us on social media.
