The IB environmental systems and societies standard level course aims to provide students with a coherent perspective of the interrelationships between environmental systems and societies; one that enables them to adopt an informed personal response to the wide range of pressing environmental issues that they will inevitably come to face. The course aims to promote an understanding of environmental processes, analysis of environmental issues at local and global levels, and the critical awareness of a diversity of cultural perspectives.
Scheduling Note: This course will be offered every other year as part of a rotation plan with IB620. This course will be offered only during school years ending in an even number.
