This course is designed to provide a background of mathematical thought and a reasonable level of technical ability for those wishing to take a more calculus-oriented IB Mathematics course. It is intended to provide a sound mathematical basis for those students planning to pursue further studies in such fields as mathematics, science, economics, and business administration. The course requires completion of a portfolio of at least one mathematical problem given by the instructor. This course prepares students to complete the IB Mathematics HL examination.
