AP Seminar is an interdisciplinary course that teaches students to develop and practice the skills in research, collaboration, and communication needed in any academic discipline. Students investigate topics in a variety of subject areas, write research-based essays, design and give presentations both individually and as part of a team.
AP Seminar counts as an elective credit at McCaskey campus. In order to be enrolled students must be in 10th (with a teacher recommendation), 11th or 12th grade.
With the successful completion (passing both AP Exams) of AP Seminar and AP Research, in addition to successful completion of four other AP Exams with the appropriate scores, students will be awarded an AP Capstone Diploma from the College Board.
