Equity Dashboard

School District of Lancaster is excited to release a new Equity Dashboard which enables all district stakeholders to monitor the district’s progress on several key equity indicators. In May 2022, the School District of Lancaster school board adopted Policy 832: Educational Equity. This policy outlines key definitions of equity within the district and sets out requirements to monitor quantitative and qualitative data for decision-making. This policy was followed by the release of an Equity Report Card, which analyzed data from the 2018-2019 school year. The new Equity Dashboard provides data from 2018-2019 to 2023-2024, and will continue to be updated throughout each school year as data becomes available. This allows all stakeholders to dig into the district’s data to better understand the Equity gaps that exist, and the progress being made. Looking for your student’s individual data? Recommendations from the Equity Committee (2022)

  • Develop an action plan with benchmarks to recruit and retain more teachers and more administrators of color.
  • Create a plan to develop support staff into the teaching ranks.
  • Research the impact of tracking middle school students. Consider “Honors for All” beginning in grade 6.
  • Include refugees in the next Equity Report Card to track progress.
  • Review policies and practices that limit out-of-school suspension of students in kindergarten and first grade.
  • Create a plan to address racial and gender disparities highlighted in the Equity Report Card 2022.
    Identify the next Equity Champion.
  • Ensure the Equity Policy is administered with fidelity, including an Educational Equity Audit and an Educational Equity Action Plan.
  • Continue the leadership role of the Equity Steering Committee.
