Dr. April Hershey / Assistant Superintendent
Dr. April Hershey, who led the Warwick School District as Superintendent for 15 years, steps into her new role as Assistant Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Hershey will oversee the offices of school leadership, data analytics, curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Her focus will include supporting elementary and middle school principals, ensuring high academic standards, and driving student success.

Chris Lopez / Assistant Superintendent
A long-standing SDoL team member, Chris Lopez has served the SDoL community for over 20 years. He began his career as a Paraeducator in an Emotional Support classroom. He later began teaching in both Special Education and Alternative Education. He then moved into school leadership and effectiveness serving as an Assistant Principal and Principal at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary for nearly 10 years. Previously, he was the Executive Director of Student Services where he led the District’s Strategic Blueprint on Student-Centered Culture and Climate.
Chris will oversee key areas including special education, student services, safety, college and career readiness, and alternative education programs. He will also supervise the high school principal, with a particular focus on mental health and student well-being, areas emphasized in the district’s strategic plan.

Karen Wynn / Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment
With 28 years in education, Karen Wynn brings experience as a classroom teacher and principal to lead the School District of Lancaster’s Office of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment. In this role, she guides the Theory of Action with a focus on the instructional framework, a standards aligned curriculum, and academic systems of supports for students.

Dr. Camille Hopkins / Director of Schools
Dr. Camille Hopkins has served in the field of urban education for over two decades as a teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal. She was awarded Distinguished Principal status by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the National Institute for School Leadership. In addition, George Ross Elementary School was named a Title I Distinguished School under her leadership as Principal. She is currently the Director of Schools, empowering and coaching principals to lead high performing schools. In this role, she also leads the Principal Resident Program, preparing teacher leaders to become future principals in the School District of Lancaster.
Dr. Josh Keene / Director of Schools
Dr. Josh Keene has been a classroom teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal and Principal, all in the School District of Lancaster. As Director of Schools, he works collaboratively with building leaders and central office staff to improve schools, drive student achievement and meet the goals in the district’s Theory of Action.

Adam Aurand / Director of Strategic Communications
A nearly 20-year communications professional, Adam works to ensure SDoL communicates effectively and efficiently with its various constituent groups. Previously director of marketing and public relations at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and public relations specialist at Conestoga Valley School District, Adam also has experience in journalism and private industry. He writes for and consults with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and is active in the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce.

Angela Williams / Director of Human Resources
Currently the Acting Director of Human Resources in the Office of Talent and Employee Engagement, Angela Williams joined SDoL in 2012. Originally starting as the Human Resources Statistical and Data Specialist, she has developed into a leader within the department. She brings over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and over 16 years of experience in the public sector. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. She is passionate about serving the community in which she lives.

Dr. Jeremy Raff / Director of Data Analytics & Strategy
Jeremy Raff guides the district’s efforts to ensure data quality, capacity, and culture. He joined School District of Lancaster in 2016 after experiences in youth services and nonprofit management in the Lancaster community. Originally serving as Coordinator of College and Career Services, Dr. Raff transitioned into the Director of Data Analytics & Strategy role in late 2022. He is passionate about making data accessible for all stakeholders in the SDoL community.

Kim Reynolds / Director of Finance
Kim Reynolds has worked for the School District of Lancaster for more than 20 years in various accounting/finance positions. She is currently the Director of Finance for SDoL. She graduated from York College of PA with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and from Eastern University with a Master of Business Administration. Kim is a member of the PASBO Accounting Committee as well and holds the credential of a Pennsylvania School Business Administrator.

Drew Schenk / Chief Financial & Operations Officer
With 15 years of executive management experience in purchasing and operations, Drew Schenk leads the Office of Facilities, Office of Information Technology, Office of Food & Child Nutrition, and Office of Enrollment & Child Accounting. Drew holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration from Millerville University, a Master Certificate in Organization Leadership from Villanova University, and Master of Education in School Business Leadership from Wilkes University. He also holds the designation of Pennsylvania Certified School Business Administrator from the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials. Drew joined SDoL in 2017.
