Let’s Go!: Esports and Game Design Summer Camp with Bright Side Opportunities Center and Pennsylvania College of Art and Design

Calling all aspiring gamers in grades 6-9! In this joint summer camp, students will spend the first week at Bright Side Opportunities Center learning basic coding and game creation techniques. The second week, students will transition to learning competitive gaming techniques by playing team based action games like Overwatch and Fortnite Led by PCA&D’s Esports Coach and members of PCA&D’s collegiate esports team, the Peacocks, students will receive hands-on instruction while having the opportunity to meet and talk to experts in the field. Guest speakers will include game developers, designers, illustrators and more. Our hope is that this camp will demystify the possible careers in gaming from creative development, writing, programming and development, marketing and more.
