At the School District of Lancaster, we recognize that learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom, it happens in moments of hands-on exploration, in the excitement of uncovering something new, and in the connections we make between knowledge and real-world experiences.
On April 9, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wheatland Middle School will open its doors to students, families, and the community for the 2nd Annual STEAMAPalooza, an interactive event designed to bring science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) to life. Through engaging exhibits and activities, this event will showcase the power of curiosity and the importance of fostering a love for learning at every age.
This year’s STEAMAPalooza will feature a planetarium experience, allowing attendees to explore the wonders of the universe. A live reptile exhibit will introduce visitors to fascinating species and their unique adaptations. STEM boards and interactive displays will encourage students to experiment, problem-solve, and engage in creative thinking. Local organizations will host community partner tables, offering insight into how STEAM connects to careers and everyday life. And because learning is best enjoyed in a welcoming and lively atmosphere, families can also take part in music, inflatable games, and a free dinner (while supplies last).
STEAMAPalooza is about sparking curiosity, strengthening community connections, and showing students the endless possibilities that come with knowledge. It’s an evening where learning feels like an adventure, where students can see themselves as innovators, and where families can experience the joy of discovery together.
