At the School District of Lancaster, professional learning isn’t just an obligation, it’s part of who we are. This year’s annual ED Conference, our signature, conference-style professional development day, brought that commitment to life, reminding us of the power of collaboration, curiosity, and community.
On Monday, March 24, classrooms across the district transformed into hubs of learning. With over 130+ session proposals submitted by staff across all levels and departments, the enthusiasm to learn, grow, and share was evident from the start.
Sessions covered a wide range of topics, each one reflecting the needs and strengths of our school community. From trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive teaching to student engagement strategies, leadership development, and wellness tools, the offerings were practical and relevant. Attendees also explored hands-on tech tools, restorative practices, and ways to build stronger connections with multilingual learners and their families.
Every session was crafted with care. Whether led by classroom teachers, school counselors, instructional coaches, or district administrators, each presenter brought real-world experience, practical takeaways, and a commitment to meaningful dialogue. They were opportunities to reflect, ask questions, and build bridges across buildings and departments.
What truly stood out was the energy in each room. Staff engaged fully leaning in, exchanging ideas, and celebrating one another’s work. From seasoned educators to those new to the profession, everyone contributed to the day’s dynamic spirit of collaboration.
To everyone who presented, participated, asked questions, and leaned into the experience, thank you. Your time, effort, and openness made ED Conference 2025 not just successful, but meaningful.
