Dear McCaskey family,
It is with great sadness I share with you that earlier today, Frank Albrecht passed away after a courageous battle with ALS. Frank truly loved McCaskey, and our school would not be what it is without his dedication, service, and care for all.
Our colleagues from the Student Services crisis support team will provide necessary support to both students and staff now and in the days to come.
Support for students will be available in both guidance suites, as well as the IMC’s as needed. Support for staff will be available in the JP 100 wing as well as B101 and B123.
Please keep the family in your thoughts, they are asking for privacy as they make arrangements. We will share memorial service information when it is available.

This Monday, August 26, we honor and join Brother Frank Albrecht in A Celebration of Life and Legacy. We come together as a community to honor the life of Brother Frank Albrecht, a beloved member of our McCaskey family.
In his memory, his family invites the public to wear colorful colors and McCaskey shirts or gear as we celebrate the life he led and the impact he had on so many. The public is welcome to join them this Monday, August 26th, for Brother Frank’s funeral service and celebration of life at the First Spanish Assembly of God (626 S Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602). The service will begin at 5:30pm, with a time to visit with the family starting at 4pm.
Earlier in the day, from 11am to 12pm, a green burial will be held at Akron Mennonite Church’s cemetery (1311 Diamond St, Akron, PA 17501: behind the church). This burial is open to the public who wish to pay their respects and reflect on the love and kindness Brother Frank shared with us.
