The School District of Lancaster is excited to welcome students and families to our annual Back to School Open House Nights! These events provide a wonderful opportunity for students to visit their schools, meet their teachers, and ease into the new school year. We look forward to seeing you there!
Open House Schedule:
- Elementary Schools: Tuesday, August 13, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
- Middle Schools: Wednesday, August 14, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
- High School: Thursday, August 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Each Open House will be tailored to give families a warm welcome and a comprehensive understanding of what to expect in the coming school year. This is an ideal time for students to familiarize themselves with their new classrooms, meet their teachers, and reconnect with classmates after the summer break.
What to Expect:
- Meet Your Teachers: Students will have the chance to introduce themselves to their teachers, who will provide an overview of the year’s curriculum and expectations.
- School Tours: New students and families can take guided tours of the school to familiarize themselves with the building layout, including key areas like the cafeteria, gymnasium, and library.
- Parent Resources: Information on school policies, support services, and extracurricular activities will be available to help parents prepare for a successful school year.
- Classroom Introductions: Teachers will give brief presentations in their classrooms, offering insights into daily routines, homework policies, and how parents can support their children’s learning at home.
