We’re proud to share that Dr. April Hershey, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, was recently featured in the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators March 2026 flyer.
In her article “Building Trust Beyond the School Walls How Strong School Community Partnerships Strengthen Safety, Belonging, and Student Success,” Dr. Hershey highlights the importance of meaningful relationships between schools, families, and community partners. She reflects on how collaboration with local organizations, including School Resource and Security Officers, helps foster safe, supportive environments where students feel a sense of belonging and are able to thrive.
Her piece reinforces a core belief of the School District of Lancaster that strong partnerships and a shared commitment to student well being are essential to creating the conditions for learning and long term success.
