Since 1995 the McCaskey Alumni Association has staged the Distinguished Alumni Awards and Banquet annually during October’s “Spirit Week” and Homecoming. This signature program of the Association seeks to call out and commend a diverse group of five alumni each year who attended McCaskey High School. Recipients are chosen by a volunteer selection committee and gauged on having achieved a level of stature within their profession or community service which students in the School District of Lancaster would wish to emulate.

Named for the J. P. McCaskey High School Association’s first Alumni Director, the annual Susan J. Garofola Service Award “may be given to anyone living who has distinguished himself/herself by outstanding service to McCaskey High School and/or to the McCaskey Alumni Association.”
If you would like to nominate an alum for a Distinguished Alumni Award, please fill out our online form or the printable nomination form and return it to the McCaskey Alumni Association.
The deadline for nominations for 2025 is April 1st.
Nominations received after that date will be held for consideration in 2026.
