On Friday, February 21, our community gathered to celebrate our School Crossing Guards who ensure our children reach school safely. This year’s breakfast marked the second year we’ve honored these essential figures, and the event was filled with genuine gratitude and community spirit.
The morning was further enriched by the creative contributions of John Goode, Beth Campagna, and the students from the McCaskey T-Shirt Lab. Working with the high school employment club, they crafted custom clothing items as heartfelt tokens of appreciation for our crossing guards—a gesture that truly reflects the close bonds within our community.
In honoring our school crossing guards, we are reminded that safety is a shared responsibility—a value that unites us as we work together for a better future. Their role is integral not only to our daily routines but also to the very fabric of our community. As we continue to support and celebrate these guardians of our streets, let us remain ever mindful of the positive impact they have on every journey taken by our children.
