The School District of Lancaster is cancelling the SAT, ASVAB and ACT exams scheduled for December, due to rising cases of COVID-19 and a declining availability of test proctors.
The SAT was scheduled for Dec. 5. The ASVAB, the U.S. military’s aptitude test, was scheduled for Dec. 10. The ACT exam was scheduled for Dec. 12. The exams will not be rescheduled.
SDoL still plans to offer the PSAT/NMSQT on Jan. 26 and the School Day SAT on March 3 to interested test takers. Students can coordinate individual ASVAB testing by working with their local military recruiter. Information on recruiter contact information is available here:
Senior College & Career Resource Guide
“More than two out of three colleges are now test optional or test blind for the Class of 2021, allowing students to apply without SAT or ACT scores,” said Dr. Jeremy Raff, SDoL’s coordinator of college and career services. “This includes local institutions like Elizabethtown College, Franklin and Marshall College, and Millersville University. The NCAA also waived the standardized test score requirement for Class of 2021 students.”
