Community partnership: Request for proposal – Lancaster Youth Violence Prevention Consultancy due July 31

In 2022, the Call-to-Action Group was established through a collaborative partnership among the School District of Lancaster, the City of Lancaster Department of Public Safety, the Department of Neighborhood Engagement, and numerous youth violence prevention organizations. This group was formed in direct response to the urgent need to address youth violence and create coordinated, community-driven solutions to promote safety and healing across Lancaster.

Building on this foundation, the City of Lancaster was awarded the Community Violence Intervention (CCVI) Planning Grant, funded by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). This grant supports the development of a comprehensive Violence Reduction Plan grounded in evidence-based practices, stakeholder input, and cross-sector collaboration.

The Consultant will be responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of the Lancaster CCVI Planning Grant. This role requires an organized, proactive professional to lead cross-sector collaboration, facilitate stakeholder engagement, oversee data collection and analysis, and drive the development of a comprehensive Violence Reduction Plan. The contractor will play a critical role in laying the groundwork for long-term, sustainable violence prevention and intervention strategies in Lancaster.
