
The PSSA Assessments that are given each Spring are an important achievement and growth measure related to the Pennsylvania state standards. All students in Grades 3-8 participate in the PSSA Assessments. On the assessment, students respond to multiple-choice and short answer response questions.
PSSA Assessment: Given to students in grades 3-8, Science given to students in grades 4 & 8
- PSSA ELA: April 21-April 25
- PSSA Math: April 28-May 2
- PSSA Science: April 28-May 2
The Keystone Exams are given at the end of a course and assess the key concepts of that course. If your child is taking Algebra 1, Biology or Literature, they will participate in a Keystone Exam at the end of the course.
Keystone Exams: Given to students enrolled in Biology, Algebra I or Literature 10
- May 12-May 23
As a parent, you can help your child do their best by using the tips below:
- Make sure that your child gets plenty of sleep on the days and nights of testing.
- Be sure that your child has breakfast before school. All schools will be serving breakfast for students during the testing windows.
- Encourage your child to do their best. Take their time in answering the questions but do not stress about the results.
- Let them know the test results won’t affect their grades and won’t determine whether they pass or fail.
- Make sure that your child attends school during the testing windows.
