Dear Hamilton Families,
I am pleased to announce that we are recommending the school board appoint Ms. Yaliza Morales as the permanent principal of Hamilton Elementary School. The board will vote on our personnel recommendations Feb. 18.
We know that Ms. Morales is a familiar face, as she is currently the interim principal at your school. The search committee was impressed by her enthusiasm and passion for the role as well as the value she places on building relationships in the school community.
Before taking on this role, Ms. Morales served as a principal resident in the School District of Lancaster, working with both Dr. Justin Reese at McCaskey High School and Mr. Phil Ludwig, the former Hamilton principal. The principal residency program prepares aspiring school leaders to become administrators through practical leadership experiences in district schools and master’s-level coursework through Millersville University. Prior to her residency, Ms. Morales taught English Language Arts at the middle and high school levels and coached cheerleading.
