Congratulations to Jackson Middle School student Kevin Bonaparte for an incredible academic achievement!
Kevin is the only student from the School District of Lancaster to qualify for the WITF Central Pennsylvania Spelling Bee Finals, which will take place on March 21, 2026, at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Harrisburg.
Back in December, Kevin placed 4th in the school spelling bee, then went on to the online qualifier and placed in the top 35 out of 220. The winner of the Central Pennsylvania Spelling Bee will move on to represent the region at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in the Washington, D.C. area this May.
Kevin’s success reflects the power of perseverance and the high expectations we hold for every learner across the district. As outlined in our 2024–2029 Strategic Plan, we are committed to promoting academic excellence through rigorous learning experiences and meaningful opportunities for students to challenge themselves and grow. We are proud of Kevin for representing Jackson Middle School and the School District of Lancaster with excellence. We wish him the very best as he takes the stage in Harrisburg on March 21.
