The School District of Lancaster invites you to join its Equity Steering Committee. This committee’s purpose is to ensure that the diverse voices of the SDoL community are heard and that our students’ unique identities, cultures, and experiences are reflected in our work. With a student population that is rich in diversity, it is important that we have a team that represents our community in all its facets—racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, linguistic, and cultural.
Your insights and expertise are valuable to us, and your participation will help us implement the Equity Policy, provide resources to all stakeholders, educate and grow the understanding of cultural competence, increase accountability focused on equity, fairness, and justice, and more.
The committee will meet for two hours monthly, with possible subcommittee meetings in between the steering committee meetings. The first meeting will be in December. By signing up, you are committing to attending at least 80% of the sessions.
