Fig, a print and digital platform published by Fig Industries, has named the Lancaster Education Foundation its social mission partner for 2020.
LEF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the teaching of excellence and student success in the School District of Lancaster. It provides enrichment opportunities for students and teachers by engaging in community partnerships, leveraging resources, and advocating for public education.
As Fig’s partner, LEF receives a page in each quarterly issue of Fig Lancaster during the year, plus digital promotion on FigLancaster.com and Fig Lancaster’s social media platform. Fig also donates 10 percent of all new subscriptions in 2020 to LEF.
“The outpouring of support and nominations that we received for LEF was unprecedented,” Fig said in a release. “We heard from students, teachers, administrators and community members about how LEF has enriched them personally or those around them.”
Fig selected LEF from more than 20 nonprofit nominees.
“Fig is a premier regional advertising and marketing juggernaut, but more importantly it is owned by a family who has a huge heart for boosting the City of Lancaster,” said Ann Womble, LEF’s executive director. “I hope this partnership results in increased awareness of ways the business community can significantly impact under-resourced students in our midst.”
