Lancaster Recreation Commission Before and After School Care programs offer state-certified childcare at School District of Lancaster elementary schools for school age children. Registration begins July 15, 2024. Please pay attention to important registration dates for the school year.
Funding resources may be available to help offset your childcare costs through state subsidies. You can contact the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) to learn more at 717-393-4004.

On days there is no school that is not a weekend or holiday closure, we provide All Day Camp at the Lancaster Rec at no additional charge. All Day Camp hours are 7:00am-6:00pm. Lunch and afternoon snack are provided for all children that attended and any field trips fees on select days.

All Day Camp
All-Day Camp is held on teacher in-service days, Act 48 days, conference days, during school recesses and vacations except Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Memorial Day. Snow days may affect the schedule of All-Day Camp. Children will receive a snack.
All-Day Camp is included in weekly costs, no additional fees required.
