McCaskey Alumni Association names Lorry Miller Eby ’80 as new President

LANCASTER, PA — The School District of Lancaster is proud to announce that the McCaskey Alumni Association has named Lorry Miller Eby, Class of 1980, as its new Alumni Association President.

A lifelong Red Tornado, Eby brings a deep and lasting connection to McCaskey High School and the School District of Lancaster. After graduating in 1980, she went on to dedicate 32 years to the district as a Health and Physical Education teacher, where she played a meaningful role in shaping the lives of students both inside and outside the classroom. Throughout her career, she was known not only for her commitment to student wellness and athletics, but also for the relationships she built with students, families, and colleagues.

Eby holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration.

Her connection to McCaskey didn’t end with retirement. Eby has remained actively involved in the McCaskey Alumni Association, supporting initiatives that celebrate alumni achievements, foster connections across generations, and create opportunities for current students. Her leadership on the Alumni Association Board has helped continue a strong tradition of engagement, pride, and support for the school community.

As the President of the McCaskey Alumni Association Board, Eby also sits on the Lancaster Education Foundation Board and is part of the Foundation’s Executive Committee, further demonstrating her ongoing dedication to advancing opportunities for students across the district.

“Lorry’s dedication to McCaskey spans decades, first as a student, then as an educator, and now as a leader within our alumni community,” said Holly White, president of the Lancaster Education Foundation Board. “She understands the importance of staying connected and giving back, and she brings both experience and heart to this role.”

As Alumni Association President, Eby will lead efforts to strengthen alumni engagement, expand outreach, and continue building meaningful connections between past and present generations of McCaskey students. The Alumni Association plays a vital role in supporting school pride and ensuring that the legacy of McCaskey continues to grow through the contributions of its graduates.

With Eby’s leadership, the McCaskey Alumni Association is well-positioned to continue fostering connection, celebrating achievement, and supporting the next generation of Red Tornadoes.

The School District of Lancaster looks forward to the continued impact of the Alumni Association under Eby’s leadership.
