
The SDoL school board voted Tuesday to delay the start of school by one week, to Monday, Aug. 31, for the first day of at home full remote learning for all students.
Families are invited to participate in a virtual community town hall meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. to hear an update on preparations for virtual learning and ask questions through a live chat. A panel of district administrators will answer questions as they come in.
Student schedules will be mailed to families this Friday, August 14.
“We remain committed to bringing students back to school as soon as it is safe to do so, most likely via hybrid,” superintendent Dr. Damaris Rau wrote to families in an email.
