On Saturday, January 25, the Southeast Winter Fest brought something special to our community—a reminder of the joy and togetherness we share, even on the coldest days.
As neighbors, families, and friends gathered, the energy of the Southeast neighborhood came alive between Hazel I. Jackson Middle School and George Washington Elementary School.
Laughter rang out as students pet animals or holding a reptile. The aroma of delicious food filled the air, bringing people together over food from Cupcakes by Casey, Extra Rice PA, Halo’s Eatery, Mocha Motion Coffee, Dutch Country Concessions and hot dogs provided by The Mix.
But beyond the crafts, the food, and the music, the day was about something deeper: connection. It was about greeting familiar faces, meeting new ones, and recognizing that we are stronger because of the diversity and spirit in our neighborhood.
To our volunteers, vendors, performers, and every single person who joined us, thank you. Thank you for showing up, for sharing your light, and for reminding us all what community truly means. Your presence made the Southeast Winter Fest a celebration of who we are and who we can be together.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Winter Fest, but until then, check out the photos on our social media!
