Price leader Krane to replace Pahl as King principal

King Elementary principal Jennifer Pahl is moving into a central administration role at the end of the school year, and she will be replaced by veteran School District of Lancaster principal Dr. Florence Krane, the district announced.

Dr. Krane, who has been principal at Price Elementary in SDoL for the past seven years, will step in as principal, effective July 1.

“Dr. Krane brings a wealth of experience from Price Elementary,” superintendent Dr. Keith Miles said in a message to families. “Her tenure produced strong student academic growth, community engagement, and climate and culture.”

During her tenure, Price achieved what’s called Tier 3 Fidelity in the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework, also known as PBIS. Teir 3 Fidelity means Price is effectively implementing and sustaining the framework at all levels—school wide, for students at risk of developing problem behaviors, and among students receiving intensive, individualized support.

Pahl, who has led King since 2022, accepted a position as instructional program manager in the special education department.

“Serving as King principal has been a learning and growing experience for me, and I appreciate all of the support I have received during my time here,” Pahl said. “I am excited about entering a new path with an opportunity to serve the entire district in an area I am passionate about.”

Pahl has a master’s in special education and taught for five years in a Tier III classroom in the York City School District.
