Rising seniors: It’s not too early to start thinking about life after high school

The McCaskey College and Career Center is offering students resources and personal support over the summer, particularly students who will be seniors in the fall.

“In today’s economic landscape, all students benefit from additional training beyond high school whether that be short/long term training, military enlistment, or 2 or 4 year college degrees,” wrote Dr. Jeremy Raff in a letter to students in June. Dr. Raff is the district’s coordinator of college and career services. “The benefits of postsecondary education remain significant and this education is critical for future success.”

Below are some virtual college and career readiness events, activities, and exploration opportunities.  I’ve also attached a checklist for rising seniors of all the key college and career steps to take over the next year. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
