School District of Lancaster is releasing a resource for graduates of SDoL who are enrolled in college and impacted by college campus closings.
Many students rely on college campuses for housing, food, internet access, and support services. SDoL provides this resource as a way to help graduates find local supports as they navigate the transition to online classes. We will be update as additional information and resources become available.
Organizations such as the Candy Factory, Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, and The Mix at Arbor Place are offering space for students impacted by the closings to access wireless internet free of charge. The Candy Factory is waiving the day pass cost for impacted School District of Lancaster students and Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster is available by appointment, and The Mix at Arbor Place is offering space from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday as long as SDoL is in session. Information on accessing these services is found in the Campus Closure Guide.
Members of the College and Career Center are available to support students as needed.
“Our support doesn’t stop once students graduate,” says Dr. Jeremy Raff, Coordinator of College and Career Services. “Our staff is here to help students get into and through college. Any graduated student should feel free to reach out and ask for assistance for any reason.”
