
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the School District of Lancaster by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. This is the 12th year the district has received an award for its CAFR. The Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) has been awarded to the district by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International for having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. School District of Lancaster Chief of Finance and Operations Matthew Przywara commented, “We are pleased to once again achieve both of these awards for the District as this is our continued commitment to our community for financial transparency and excellence”.
Both awards were attained for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020 and confirm the School District of Lancaster’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through both programs helps strengthen the district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting and community accountability.
