The School District of Lancaster’s school renaming committee released the finalists for Southeast Middle School and the new building replacing Buchanan Elementary School. Members of the community are encouraged to share their thoughts on the names.
The district received nearly 200 nominations for the two schools, which the committee evaluated. The top 10 names were invited to present to the committee. You can view the presentations below.

The naming committee will consider public input on the names and make final recommendations to the school board. The board is expected to vote to formally name these schools sometime this spring.
