The Steinman Foundation is stepping up to support School District of Lancaster families who do not have reliable internet access, as planned instruction begins on April 20 for secondary students and on April 27 for elementary students.
Families who do not currently have a way to connect a student’s SDoL device to the internet, please follow these steps:
- Visit InternetEssentials.com or call 1-855-8-INTERNET to apply for the Comcast Internet Essentials Program for free high-speed internet for six (6) months
- When applying to the program, indicate that you are a School District of Lancaster family and your costs are being covered by the Steinman Foundation
- If you have applied for the program in the past, please reapply, as the eligibility requirements have recently changed
If your application to the Comcast Internet Essentials program is denied:
- Please collect some sort of proof (screenshot, letter, etc) that you applied and were denied
- Complete this form to notify SDoL that you have been denied
- An SDoL staff member will reach out to you to help you identify an alternative option for internet access for your family
