SWE Update– January 28 2022

Message from Principal Martz

What a great month of teaching and learning we had at SWE.

It’s hard to believe the month of January is coming to an end.  Our STEM Fair is on Wednesday, February 2nd in our Library.  I encourage all of you to swing by the library during parent teacher conferences on February 3rd and 4th to took a look at these amazing projects.  The top ten will advance to the district STEM Fair.  Good luck to all our participants.  As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.  I look forward to seeing you next week.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Winter Weather Reminder

If the RealFeel Temperature is 25 degrees Fahrenheit or below, recess will be held indoors. But, if the RealFeel Temperature is above 25 degrees Fahrenheit we will have outdoor recess and mask breaks.
The RealFeel Temperature is an equation that takes into account many different factors to determine how the temperature actually feels outside
Please make sure your students come dressed for the weather! Winter jacket, gloves, hat, and scarf are recommended!

St. Joseph Softball

St. Joseph Softball is now accepting sign ups for girls 6 to 14 years old for the upcoming Spring Softball season. The 8U level (girls 6 to 8 years old as of Jan. 1) is coach pitch, as opposed to higher levels where the pitching is done by the players. Softball at the 8U level is mainly instructional with no scores recorded or standings kept. This is a fun time for the girls with no pressure.

Everyone plays. We hope to have 12 to 14 girls per team. Practices start in March. The League season runs from mid-April through the third week of June. Our home field is located at the 1409 Wabank Rd. near Hamilton School. Early Bird discount until March 1. Outdoor practices will be weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Coaches are needed at all age groups, please call if you would like to help. You will find more information and may register at stjosephcatholicclub.comPlease call Bill Souders, St. Joe Softball Director, for more information at 717-917-3755
