Good Afternoon SWE Families~
And just like that February is over! With only 3 months of school left we have a lot of amazing events planned before the end of the year in partnership with our PTO. Stay tuned for more information in future weekly updates.

Community Kid’s Event with the cast of Disney Newsies
Saturday March 12th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
at JP McCaskey High School (445 North Reservoir Street, Lancaster, PA) – please enter through the front door.
Masks are required at this event.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This community event is FREE.

Smith-Wade-El Chorus Student Performance at
Pennsylvania Kings game at Millersville University
DATE UPDATE: APRIL 23rd, 2022 AT 5:30 PM
GAME STARTS AT 6:00 PM
Chorus students will perform the National Anthem before the game.
Chorus students will get in for free. Families can purchase tickets for $16.00 each. All students must be accompanied by an adult. ($5.00 from each ticket sold will earned for our music program.

Kindergarten enrollment for the ’22-’23 school year starts NOW
Register now for guaranteed placement in your neighborhood school!
Children should be registered NOW for Kindergarten in fall of ’22
All children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022, are eligible to apply for kindergarten.
You can begin registration online at sdlancaster.org/enroll-your-child/kindergarten-registration
Smith-Wade-El will hold in-person registration on Wednesday, March 30th 2022 from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Registration should be completed as soon as possible to ensure enrollment in your neighborhood school.

- Important Dates Coming Up:
- Wednesday, March 9th – Early Dismissal
- Friday, March 18th – School in Session – Snow Make up Day
- Monday, March 21st – No School
- Tuesday, March 23rd at 5:30 PM – SWE chorus student performance at the Pennsylvania Kings game at Millersville University
- Wednesday, March 30th from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM – On-site Kindergarten Registration at Smith-Wade-El Elementary
- No Pre-Planned Educational Trips will be approved during PSSAs. English and Language Arts PSSAs are April 25th – 29th. May 2nd – 13th are Math and Science as well as make up testing.
- Mark your calendar: SWE Spring Concert Thursday, May 19th at 6:00 pm in the gym.
