The halls of McCaskey High School are about to come alive once again, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our families and students back for the 2025–2026 school year. August is packed with opportunities to prepare and set the tone for a successful year. Whether you’re a freshman just beginning your high school journey or a senior preparing for your final year, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Here are some important dates you should know:
Welcome, Class of 2029!
Starting high school is a big milestone and we know it can come with a few nerves. We’re inviting all incoming 9th grade students to our 9th Grade Orientation on Sunday, August 11 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the JP Gym. This is a chance to meet our LINK Crew leaders, connect with new classmates, and begin to feel at home on campus before the first day of school. Our student leaders will guide you through the building, answer questions, and help ease those first-day jitters. We encourage all 9th grade students to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to build confidence and community.
Reconnect with staff at Back to School Night
Families, mark your calendars for Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This evening event is a great way for parents, caregivers, and guardians to tour the McCaskey Campus, meet teachers and administrators, and get a sense of what the new school year holds. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about your student’s schedule, and connect with the educators who will be supporting them throughout the year. There will be food trucks on-site to enjoy while you mingle and explore.
The first day of school
We welcome students back in phases, with dedicated time to support our newest high schoolers.

Monday, August 19 is the first day of school for 9th grade students. Doors open at 7:55 a.m., with Period 1 beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m. The school day will end at 3:04 p.m. Please note: breakfast will not be served on this day, so students should plan accordingly.
