This month, Muslim students, staff, and families across our district are observing Ramadan, a sacred time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. From sunrise to sunset, those observing refrain from food and drink, centering their days around spiritual growth and compassion for others.
Price Elementary School principal Dr. Heggs shares in this accompanying video how meaningful it is to acknowledge and uplift this time for students. For many children, seeing their traditions recognized at school sends a powerful message. It tells them that who they are matters here. It tells them they belong.
To our families and community observing this holy month, Ramadan Mubarak. May this month bring you peace and renewed strength.
