There’s nothing quite like the first day of school. The sound of school buses pulling into the lot. The hum of excited chatter in the hallways. The mix of nerves and anticipation as students step into new grades, new classrooms, and new beginnings. At the School District of Lancaster, the start of the 2025–26 school year has officially arrived and we look forward to welcoming everyone back!
-
On Tuesday, August 19, students in grades K–6, 7–8 at Martin K-8 School, and grade 9 will officially begin their school year.
-
Then, on Wednesday, August 20, we’ll welcome back grades 7–8 at Jackson, Lincoln, Reynolds, and Wheatland, along with grades 10–12 at McCaskey.
Whether it’s your first day ever or your last first day as a senior, it’s a moment filled with possibility. A chance to build relationships, set new goals, and make memories that will shape the year ahead.
Families, we encourage you to begin planning now. Be sure to take note of our school start and dismissal times:
