The School District of Lancaster recently came together during the @mccaskeyhighschool Girls Basketball team’s Together We Fight Cancer in All Colors night, using the game as a moment to support and stand in solidarity.
We were honored to welcome two district teachers who are currently battling cancer. Their presence allowed our community to pause, recognize the realities so many families face, and honor those we have lost.
This night centered on awareness, inclusion, and support for all those impacted by cancer. Our student-athletes demonstrated that leadership goes beyond the court and that sports can create space for empathy and unity.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us in standing together and reminding one another that no one faces this journey alone.
The School Board will hold its Committee of the Whole meeting, beginning this evening at 6:30 p.m. You can watch the meeting live and view the agenda: click here
