We made it. After early mornings, busy hallways, packed schedules, and all the moments in between, winter break has officially arrived at the School District of Lancaster!
This is the season for sleeping in (just a little), turning off alarms, and swapping backpacks for blankets. Our students showed up this year. Our teachers and staff brought heart into every classroom and space. Our families and community partners stood alongside us every step of the way, reminding us that learning works best when we do it together.
What makes SDoL special are the connections, the smiles, the teamwork, and yes, even the silly moments that make school feel like more than just a place to be.
As winter break begins, we hope students take time to rest, play, and recharge. We hope staff enjoy a well deserved pause and moments that fill their cups. And we hope families find time for connection and a little extra fun.
Thank you for an incredible first half of the school year. Enjoy winter break, stay safe, and we’ll see you back soon refreshed, smiling, and ready for what’s next in 2026!
School resumes on Monday, January 5, 2026. Please note that district offices will be open with limited staff on Monday, Dec. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 30.
