Scholarships

The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.

Competition: PA State

This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluation of the essay submitted. You are not required to be taking engineering courses to be eligible.

The Donegal-Witness Tree Scholarship will be awarded annually to one student. The amount of this scholarship will vary from year to year. It will be determined by available funds. This year it is $2,500

Applicants must be Seniors in high school planning to attend a 2 to 4-year undergraduate degree program majoring in Business Administration, Communications, Information Technology, Marketing, or another Business-related program.

Applicants must reside and/or attend a high school that falls within a low-to-moderate income community within Fulton Bank’s 5 state footprint (DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA).

Applicants are required to submit one (1) recommendation from a person other than a family member.

Applicants are also required to submit a written essay answering the following question: “How will you use this opportunity to further your professional development and career goals?”

Once a completed application is submitted through the Fulton Bank website, a Fulton Bank representative will be in contact with the applicant to discuss next steps in the evaluation process.

The evaluation process is based on academic performance, extracurricular/community involvement, leadership ability, academic attendance/punctuality, interview performance, and desire for employment at Fulton Bank.

For 11th grade students who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. 2.0 GPA required in addition to demonstrated strength of character and commitment to pursue a college education and contribute to society.

For graduating Lancaster County high school students who participate on the school's swimming team. 3.0 GPA required.

Consideration will be given to students planning to enter the field of education. Financial need and academic achievement will also be considered. Complete the attached application.

For Lancaster County students who are or will be continuing education or trade-related certification directly related to the RESIDENTIAL BUILDING INDUSTRY, including, but not limited, to the following building trades: electrical; plumbing; carpentry; cabinetmaking; HVAC; CADD; masonry; painting; sheet metal; mechanical; equipment operation; and safety management.

Candidates must be a student of McCaskey High School Campus, demonstrate financial need, and have a minimum 2.5 (unweighted) GPA if planning on attending Thaddeus Stevens and a minimum 3.0 (unweighted) GPA for all other institutions. Essay, recommendations, and other supporting documents required.

Each day, over 200 people are injured and 4 people are killed in traffic accidents in Pennsylvania. At Metzger Wickersham, we have represented thousands of people injured in auto accidents, and we know how a serious or fatal car crash can devastate a victim’s family, friends, and the surrounding community. Many motor vehicle crashes are caused by risky behaviors like driving under the influence of alcohol or texting while driving. These types of accidents are especially heartbreaking because they are fully preventable. Metzger Wickersham’s Road to Safety Scholarship Contest encourages students to take a stand against dangerous driving. The contest provides Pennsylvania high school seniors with the opportunity to submit a creative project about the dangers of drunk driving or distracted driving for the chance to win college scholarship money. The ultimate goal of the contest is to help spread the message to drive with safety in mind all the time! First place winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship, second place winners will receive $750, and third place winners will receive $500

Applicants must:
• Have an S&T Bank Smart Start Banking account (minimum opening balance for Smart Start Banking account is $50)
• Be 24 years of age or younger
• Be a high school senior or graduate
• Plan to be enrolled or currently be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college, university or vocational/technical school located in the U.S.
• Enroll in the college, university or vocational/technical school of their choice in the U.S. no later than the fall of the year in which the award is given
• Provide completed application, official documentation of current grade point average (GPA), SAT/ACT scores (if applicable) and three letters of recommendation (without required documents, application will be disqualified)

The purpose of the Scott & Hoffnagle Scholarship Program (the “Scholarship Program”) is to provide financial assistance to individuals who are pursuing higher education after graduating from high school.
