McCaskey students may return for onsite instruction, beginning Jan. 25 for students in grades 9 and 12 and students in identified special education, ESL and CTE classes. Remaining students in grades 10 and 11 may return Feb. 8.
Based on feedback from students and teachers, and out of concern for our ability to social distance in classrooms, the board approved a hybrid schedule for the high school. That means students will attend onsite two days per week and “Zoom In” to their classes three days per week. This is a change from the original plan presented to the board on Jan. 5.
Families who completed the survey prior to this change were given the choice of onsite instruction five days per week, virtual instruction five days per week or Cyber Pathways Academy. A hybrid option was not one of your choices at that time. Your choices now are:
- Onsite instruction two days per week
- Virtual instruction five days per week
- Cyber Pathways Academy
We realize that attending school on a hybrid schedule may change families’ intentions. If you would like to alter your instructional choice—or have not yet made a selection—please contact the high school office by no later than January 19.
