Astronomy is a one-semester course based on the study of planets, stars, galaxies, and the universe. Current events in astronomy are discussed. Students will be able to know how to use a telescope, explain the concepts of rocketry, apply terrestrial concepts to night-sky viewing, and explain the history of the universe.
