Skill reinforcement in shampoos, rinses, and scalp treatments; hair styling, setting, cutting, dyeing, tinting and bleaching; permanent waving; facials; manicuring; and hand and arm massaging. Bacteriology, anatomy, hygiene, sanitation, salon management including record keeping and customer relations are also emphasized. Instruction is designed to qualify pupils for the licensing examination.
