The School District of Lancaster’s Theory of Action is a five-year plan, developed in 2021, to improve the district’s performance in five key focus areas: elementary literacy, elementary math, middle school math, high school literacy, and high school Advanced courses. The district set performance goals, aligned to state benchmarks, in each of these areas.
The Theory of Action uses a strategic planning framework in which cross-functional teams annually develop objectives and action steps toward each of the key performance areas. The teams initially formed in September 2021 and released their Year One plans in December 2021. The dashboard below shows the performance goals, objectives, action steps and key results in each focus area.
