The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.

Competition: PA State

This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluation of the essay submitted. You are not required to be taking engineering courses to be eligible.

For 11th grade students who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. 2.0 GPA required in addition to demonstrated strength of character and commitment to pursue a college education and contribute to society.

The Founders’ Scholarship was created to honor the individuals who helped build Lancaster County Chooses Love and to support the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders in our community.

Each year, we will award a $500 scholarship to an LGBTQ+ young person in Lancaster County who is pursuing post-secondary education. This includes college, trade programs, certifications, and other paths forward. We recognize that there is no one “right” path, and we are proud to support individuals as they take their next step.

This scholarship reflects our commitment to investing in our community by removing barriers, uplifting lived experiences, and celebrating those who embody our values of inclusivity, support, empowerment, and advocacy.

Who can apply:

LGBTQ+ individuals ages 16–24
Residents of Lancaster County
Pursuing post-secondary education (college, trade programs, certifications, and more)
Applicants may submit written or video responses and can apply themselves or be nominated by someone in the community.

Applications due May 15
Recipient will be announced at our Pride Festival on June 6th

The purpose of the Scott & Hoffnagle Scholarship Program (the “Scholarship Program”) is to provide financial assistance to individuals who are pursuing higher education after graduating from high school.

Seniors interested in pursuing a career in STEM Depending on the number of applicants, preference may be towards those interested in STEM professions in the Architectural / Engineering / Construction industry.
