17 new educators join SDoL ahead of 2026-27 school year

A new school year brings new faces to classrooms and schools across the School District of Lancaster. As students prepare to return, SDoL is welcoming 17 new educators who will begin their journeys with the district this school year. They join us with different roles and areas of expertise, but each will become part of the work happening every day across our schools to support students.

This year’s incoming group includes classroom and special education teachers, educators in art, music, health and physical education, an English language development teacher, a school counselor, a school nurse, a behavior specialist and a special education consultant.

Their arrival also supports one of the priorities outlined in SDoL’s five-year strategic plan. Through Talent Optimization, the district is focused on recruiting skilled educators who reflect and understand the community they serve while creating workplaces where employees feel supported and have opportunities to grow. That investment in people ultimately comes back to students.

Please join us in welcoming our newest educators to the School District of Lancaster:
